Shop Driver

The Glass Doctor of North Texas is looking for a dependable, safety-conscious Shop Driver to join our team! If you're someone who takes pride in precision, can handle fragile materials with care, and wants to be part of a company that values professionalism and teamwork, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Do:

·      Operate delivery vehicles safely and efficiently, including trucks with glass racks.

·      Transport glass inventory and materials to and from job sites and store locations while meeting strict delivery timelines.

·      Load and unload glass and related materials with precision, ensuring safe handling and minimizing damage risk.

·      Verify shipment contents, label accuracy, and retrieve any returns to maintain clear and accurate records.

·      Report inventory discrepancies or damaged goods using required documentation processes.

·      Follow all safety protocols, including PPE, vehicle checks, and driver compliance regulations.

·      Support the shop team with other duties as needed, we're all about pitching in where it counts.·      

·      Hours are 7:30a-job is complete. We wrap up between 4:30-6:00p but it could depend on the day and the needs of the business. We work rotating Saturdays, but if you want to work more hours, you can! Pay is $18-$23/hr. (depending on experience).

·      The Shop Driver is the heartbeat of Glass Doctor. They make sure all the materials are delivered to each location and help run items to technicians in times of need. They are a vital player on the team.

Job Requirements:

·      Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record. Must be at least 22 years old.

·      Previous experience in commercial driving, deliveries, or warehouse work preferred.

·      Ability to safely handle large and fragile items (glass handling experience is a major plus!).

·      Strong attention to detail and time management.

·      Able to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet.

·      Comfortable working in all types of weather and shop conditions.
