Join the Glass Doctor Team

Glass Doctor of North Texas is looking for a dependable, hardworking Shop Driver to help keep our locations, shops, and field teams moving.

This position is responsible for transporting glass, materials, supplies, tools, and equipment between our locations throughout DFW, as well as picking up orders and materials from our vendors.

This is more than a driving position. Our Shop Driver is an important part of our operation. When our teams have the right materials in the right place at the right time, they can take care of our customers and get the job done.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in being reliable, works safely, communicates well, and is always willing to help the team.

What You'll Do

  • Safely deliver glass, materials, tools, equipment, and supplies between Glass Doctor locations.
  • Pick up orders, materials, and parts from vendors throughout the DFW area.
  • Load, secure, transport, and unload materials safely to prevent damage.
  • Verify materials and orders for accuracy during pickups and deliveries.
  • Communicate with shop and operations teams regarding deliveries, pickups, delays, or discrepancies.
  • Plan and organize routes to complete deliveries and pickups efficiently.
  • Maintain receipts, delivery paperwork, and other required documentation.
  • Keep company vehicles clean, organized, and in good operating condition.
  • Complete basic vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns.
  • Follow all company vehicle, safety, and driving policies.
  • Assist shop teams with loading, unloading, organizing materials, and other tasks when needed.
  • Represent Glass Doctor professionally when interacting with vendors, customers, coworkers, and members of the community.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and follow through until the job is complete.

Our HIGHER Standard

At Glass Doctor, how we work matters just as much as the work we do. Every member of our team is expected to live our HIGHER values:

H — Here to Serve

Look for ways to help. Support your teammates, take care of our vendors and customers, and be willing to jump in when something needs to get done.

I — Integrity in All Dealings

Do the right thing, even when no one is watching. Handle company vehicles, materials, purchases, receipts, and vendor relationships responsibly.

G — Growth Mindset

Be willing to learn, accept feedback, solve problems, and continuously look for better ways to do the job.

H — Hard Work, Hard Play

Bring a strong work ethic and positive attitude while being part of a team that works hard and celebrates our wins together.

E — Elite Performance

Take pride in doing things right. Deliver the correct materials to the correct location, drive safely, communicate proactively, and follow through on your commitments.

R — Respect

Treat coworkers, customers, vendors, company property, and members of the community with professionalism and respect.

What We're Looking For

  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Dependable attendance and punctuality.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to safely operate company vehicles.
  • Comfortable driving throughout the DFW area.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple pickups and deliveries throughout the day.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, load, and unload materials associated with the position.
  • Willingness to help wherever needed and work as part of a team.
  • Previous delivery, warehouse, shop, construction, or logistics experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Most importantly, someone who is willing to work to the HIGHER standard.

Schedule

Monday–Friday: 7:30 AM until the day's work is complete, typically between 4:00–6:00 PM. Rotating Saturdays.

This is a full-time position. Daily end times may vary depending on delivery routes, vendor pickups, and operational needs.

Benefits

Full-time team members are eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes:

  • Medical Insurance
  • Dental Insurance
  • Vision Insurance
  • Company-Paid Life Insurance
  • Company-Paid Short-Term Disability
  • Company-Paid Long-Term Disability
  • Two Weeks of Paid Time Off, with additional PTO earned based on years of service
  • 8 Paid Holidays

What Success Looks Like

Our ideal Shop Driver is someone the team can count on.

You don't need someone standing over your shoulder telling you what to do. You take ownership of your day, communicate when something changes, take care of the company's vehicles and materials, and make sure the people depending on you have what they need.

You understand that a technician can't complete a job without the right materials, a shop can't operate efficiently without the right supplies, and a missed vendor pickup can affect an entire day's schedule.

You take pride in being the person who helps keep everything moving.

If you're dependable, hardworking, safety-minded, and looking for a company where you can be part of a team that expects a HIGHER standard, we'd love to hear from you.
