STATEMENT OF DUTIES

 

Primary Function

 

Under general direction of the Glass Doctor Home + Business of Raritan Valley – Hillsborough franchise owner, this position is responsible for the development of Glass Doctor service brand awareness and generation of sales opportunities to residential and commercial prospects and existing customers. This will entail in person and phone sales calls which may be cold calls or pre-scheduled meetings. 

 

Glass Doctor Home + Business of Raritan Valley – Hillsborough is located at 216 Route 206, Unit 18, Hillsborough, NJ.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

·     Compile list of prospective customers gathered from:

 

Ø Internet web sites

Ø Business directories

Ø Local Groups such as: Business Networks, Chamber of Commerce, Builder’s Associations, Realtor Groups, Property Managers, Insurance Agencies, Apartment Complexes, Senior Living Facilities

 

·     Travel throughout assigned territory, following a pre-planned itinerary, to prospect for new business and to continue to grow sales with current customer base.

 

·     Be prepared to discuss in detail the features and benefits of Glass Doctor’s services.   Utilize Glass Doctor’s literature, brochures or flyers when appropriate.

 

·     Track all pertinent information to have a record of your prospects, your existing customers and your activities and progress with all those accounts.

 

·     Participate in setting up and selling at Trade Shows if requested to do so.

 

·     Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

·     Personality that is upbeat, positive and motivating with the ability to communicate

with customers, peers and management in a clear, cheerful, easy to understand, voice.

 

·      A self-motivated individual, with the ability to listen and apply what is heard, to move the sale forward.

 

·     Requires a high degree of self confidence, a driven determination to get the sale made, and a willingness to take on personal responsibility.

 

·     High degree of organization, with an outstanding work ethic. 

 

·     Honest with the highest level of trustworthiness and the utmost integrity.

 

·     Dress and personal hygiene appropriate for areas in which the sales call is made.

 

·      Ability to think in a logical and progressive manner.

 

Education and Experience

 

·     Minimum of high school diploma, college degree preferred.

 

·     Five or more years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

·     Computer literacy and the ability to use standard Microsoft applications - Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

 

·     Ability to read and understand procedure manuals, to write routine reports and correspondence, ability to speak effectively before groups.

 

·     Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.

 

Additional Requirements and Considerations

 

·     Must have and maintain a valid New Jersey driver’s license.

 

·     Must be able to pass a background check.

 

·     Must be able to pass a drug test prior to hire and at random during employment.

 

·     Candidates are preferred to live within 10 miles of franchise Hillsborough, NJ, location.
